2012 Hope Academy
NStudents Who
Need Sponsors
Anyoli Rodrigues
Anyoli (pronounced An-joli) is the daughter of one of the guards, Luis Rodriguez, at the Center. She finished kindergarten this year and is so excited about school! Her older sister, Glenda, also began Hope Academy this year. We put Anyoli in the program in February when school began knowing that someone would love helping this little girl get a better education. Anyoli was in our Bible Kinder and had already learned some basic social skills and her letters and numbers. She will be a great kid to sponsor in this program and needs your help to continue in the program for 2012!

Wuilson Perez
Wuilson comes from a very poor family where the grandmother takes care of everyone. The house where his mother lives is full to overflowing, so his grandmother takes care of him at her house and makes sure he is clean and at school on time. He could not hold a pencil when he first came to Hope Academy, but now he is one of those children we point out when we explain how they rise to the challenge and succeed! This is Wuilson’s third year in Hope Academy and he lost his supporter due to the financial crisis in the US. He is a precious little boy who just needs a chance! We need to find a sponsor for him for 2012 if he is to continue.

Estiben Yafed Olivas
Estiben is from a very large family of which eight children are already Hope Academy students. His big brother, Wiliam, went to Escuela Elliott Dover on the first day of classes and Estiben went along. The next day Estiben went by himself to Escuela Elliott Dover because he wanted to go to that school, too! His mother enrolled him, bought his uniforms and paid the yearly fee so he could go….but, she cannot pay for the rest of the program. The children from this family are some of the best students in our program and we have no reason to believe that Estiben will be any different! Estiben needs a sponsor to be able to continue in the program for 2012.

Genesis is the third daughter in this family and the older sister of Carlitos Barahona who is also a student in Hope Academy. Her parents are wonderful Christians and wanted her to be taught more Bible than she would get in the public school. She is an excellent student, just like her older sisters, and is very excited to have an opportunity to get an even better education and change her future. She gets a lot of support at home from her parents and her sisters. She needs a sponsor to be able to continue in the program in 2012.

Carlos barahona

Carlos is the cutest little guy. His wide eyes and big ears make him look like he is ready for anything! He has four older sisters who are very smart and do well in school, so he has a tough act to follow. His mother, Yesenia, was a teacher in our Bible Kinder when we first began that program. She and her husband have raised great kids in a very difficult environment. Carlitos, as they call him, will have a lot of good support at home from both his parents and his sisters!
Caleb Arevelo

Joshua Caleb is not nearly as big as his name, but he is a precious little boy. He has no idea what this big opportunity is in front of him, but his parents do! He is the youngest of five children in the family. His father is a construction worker and his mother stays at home and cares for her family. They understand the importance of starting Joshua at a young age in this program and are very anxious to give their son the opportunity of a better future. Caleb has finished his first year in Hope Academy and has done very well. He needs a sponsor to continue in this program.
